Maia (My-a) is part of the beginning of a new generation here at JaLa Yorkies!
She was born, spoiled and raised here in our home! She is the first born daughter of
Venus, and brought many happy tears to our eyes when she was born! She is a
balanced representation of her parents...Quaker and Venus! She is the best of
them both wrapped into this beautiful little package we call Maia!

We are so excited and so proud to introduce you to Maia.
She has a beautiful head, darling eyes and face that has just made us melt since she
was born! She has a nice small compact body, good spring of ribs,
true silky coat and the attitude of a winner! She made every head turn during her
first conformation class...living up to her name!

Maia took to the show ring like a natural! Although her mom did not like the show
ring, Maia had a ball strutting her stuff. She is pointed towards her AKC
Championship, earning her first point and Winners Bitch at only 6 months old!!!
Then at 8 months old went on to take Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best of
Breed!!! We are so proud of her and her accomplishments!!!

She is also a 4 time Best of Breed Winner and 3 time Toy Group Winner
at AKC Puppy Matches for 2007! The judges have adored her solid front, topline
and rear! Just watching her in the ring it is easy to see her excellent reach and
drive...she almost floats around the ring! We are loving her beautiful, expressive face
and appreciating her extreme silky coat.

Maia was retired from the show ring in 2008 when her color became too light.
We will breed her to an excellent colored male to see if she can produce that coveted
dark steel blue coat. Look for Maia's kids in the ring in the years to come...
